Me and my Spirit Waifu

Hello friends and fans! 

Have you ever heard of this game called "Can You Escape Love"? If not, you're not likely to. No one really talks about it all that much, which is a pity, because it's a damn good game. It was made by Chibixi, and she did a really good job. I must not be anywhere close to the only one who thinks so, because there's a sequel. 

The sequel, "Can You Escape Fate", is a cut above the rest, and it's even better than the first game. It's longer, has an even better story, combat is very polished, and it has a larger cast of lovable characters.

One of them is an adorable pink female spirit named Ere. Turns out that she's incredibly smitten with your character. She's also slightly unhinged (though, outside her battle, she never actually does anything particularly threatening). However, in the end, she's nothing if not devoted to you, to the point that, if you die at any time after you let her tag along, she will sacrifice herself for you so you can keep going. Overall, a wonderful character. 

A character that I ended up falling in love with. 

This drawing depicts me (as the player character—I named myself Dante) and Ere. I have a nonchalant expression because, in the game, when you get the dialogue options to let her come with you, it sounds like you're doing it begrudgingly. I interpreted this as me just playing it cool and acting aloof when, in reality, I couldn't be happier, hence the thought bubble where I'm cheering and generally being happy.

Seriously, these games deserve way more attention—they're fantastic! Chibixi, thanks for giving us these games. And thank you for giving us Ere.
